F1 » Mistakes cost Maldonado dear again

After setting the third fastest time in qualifying, Pastor Maldonado once again couldn't keep his car out of trouble as a catalogue of incidents in the first few laps ended with his retirement on lap 5.

I don't understand most of his accidents by sheer good luck weren't spectacular, and due to over agression = no bans

+

Grosjean tapps Twitpic's front wheel lightly and loses control, ensuring chaos and due to startline confusion and rookie mistake = race ban

= FIA inconsistency.

PLEASE, Sir Frank, if your car is even nearly as good in 2013 as it has been this year, don't let Maldonado near it! There's a growing list of quite reasonable drivers available to you - think Algersuari, Buemi, Fisichella, Sutil, Liuzzi, Trulli, BARRICHELO for crying out loud! I know, none of them are proper team leaders, but they're all a no-brainer over Maldonado!

The money Williams will lose with Maldonado's departure will be made back in higher winnings from constructor's championship standings and other sponsorships following greater success.

Maldonado may be gold plated, but he's still an anchor.

Maldonado is like an oil lantern - he shines brightly, but needs to be carried and if it knocks over, bursts into flames and burns everything in the vicinity. Volatile.

What else is new. That race win in Spain really damaged Maldonado. He now thinks he's better than he really is. He needs to get back to the pre-Spain Maldonado. At least he wasn't as cocky and he didn't cause so many accidents.

What the hell Pastor? He jumped the start, which kinda gave him a chance to escape the carnage, then he was spotted at in the midst of it facing the wrong way, got going and tangled with someone else . . . The car qualifies well and is fast in the races at almost all venues, it hasnt really broke down too often either yet the team are bloody 'seventh' in the standings! Frank may be looking at Lotus with some envy.

If only he had a better team mate, williams build a brilliant car this year but Senna can't qualify and Maldonado gets all confused when there are other cars arround him (although he seems to have trouble with empty tracks aswell, venuzuela demo anyone). If only they had kept Hulkenberg, i guess they really needed the money

popular choice for a kicking . At the end of the day he only jumped the start. and later had some contact with a backmarker. Didnt cause the smashup at the start.
A grid drop is less damaging to his next race than a drivethrough penalty. Will he learn to be less like a mad dog eventually? who knows.
