Pastor Maldonado was to blame for the jump-start that saw him pick up one of three penalties at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Regardless of who the driver is, a five place grid penalty for jumping the start does seem a little harsh doesn't it? If Pastor had kept going he would have had a drive though penalty for the jump start.

A drive through doesn't equate to a five place grid drop does it?

"Maldonado topped the penalty table in his debut season"? Oh no he didn't!

Lulu - 1 warning, 1 reprimand, 1 fine, 4 drive throughs, 1 grid drop and 3 investigations with no action taken.

Maldonado - 2 drive throughs, 1 stop and go, and 2 grid drops.

Morning Jose, how's your DOG?

I think Williams should dump the guy. Ok the money he brought with him has no doubt helped but it must be getting to the point where the accounts will be looking at it and saying the repair bills aint worth it any longer.

A win from him isnt enough to justify wrecking the car every other week. The success of Spain was as much down to the engineers as it was Maldonado. Frank and the commercial team should be looking around for other sponsors and the team principal should be away talking to managers asking if their drivers would consider driving for the team next year.

What I don't understand is why the stewards didn't make a decision on anything during the race. It wasn't that hard to see it was a jump start. Charlie Whiting was shown shaking his head straight afterwards, like he did with Fernando 2 years ago, who got a drive-through if I remember correctly.

To everyone banging on about Grosjean's brain fart at turn 1:

Don't forget, last year at Suzuka Sebastien Vettel did EXACTLY the same thing to Button, Button saw him coming and slacked off. That is the only difference. Button didn't keep his foot pinned or the result would've been exactly the same!
