@ @

Webber is already resigned to Red Bull.

Calling Button a #2 is pretty rich considering he beat Hami last year, is quite close to him this year, and if it wasn't for that slump, would be well in the title race.

luluthenotsogreatphenomenon. and you tried to start a rumour six months ago, that lulu was signing with macca for 100m!!!!
spectrum. in the list of salaries posted earlier this year, schumi was shown as 5m. now, he does have some personal sponsors, so he has an ability to earn more, but what we are talking about here, is what MERC are paying him. whereas you are claiming that lulu has been offered 20m per year. BIG difference, i think! i doubt that anyone would waste 20m on a loose cannon who constantly criticises his team.

What amaze me here is that you, Taipan and Co all said the only seat available to Lewis is either an HRT or Caterham! If he leaves McLaren But the rumour of Mercedes showing interest in the driver got everyone jumping. Whether he criticise the team or not he won't be the first and won't be the last, he praises the team when he wins so its called tough love Schumacher does it.
If Lewis doesn't sign a contract before the last race you would be shocked at the number of those who would pay him what he wants.

Lulu to Merc? That would be good and see what he can really do... no much better than Britney I think... and Britney... and before anyone knocks MSC for the sake of it, Britney is only ahead MSC in points this year due to MSC having the worst car reliability of the year... PR wise Britney has been completely off the radar... maybe he should join Simon Fuller and tweet some $hite out.

Anyway if the rumors are true which I dont believe there is a cat in hell chance of being so, then there should be 2 top seats to fill, one at Ferrari (Massa to take Petrov's seat or gone) and one at Mcca vacated by Lulu... I am sure MSC wont do a bad job in either. MSC in either team would make it rather interesting partnering Alonso or Button imho, and he is not expensive and he will be center of attention again since everyone knows the MERC is crap.

I don't get the Jordan praise.
He seems a nice guy, but the whole plissing around with 'shirts', and the "Eddie-Eddie" sycophantic chanting (being encouraged)...... all seems too frivolous, and frankly, at times a bit embarrassing.
Childish, rather than wit and humour.

Having said that.... he may be right to flag this news up.
It looks like Schumi is breaking the retirement news gently (Bernie), and somebody 'big' must fill his seat.

@Spectrum, Lulu has done more than criticise his team, other drivers, the organisers of all sorts of things... even if they are considered of having balls to do so... his more recent stuff can only be considered as a lack of brain cell.

Personally I have jet to hear MSC said one thing bad against the teams he has driven for and for that my friend, I'd know who I'd rather have in my car.

If MSC leaves at the end of this year it would be truly sad because he has been totally let down by the car and the world knows it... and he has completely overshadowed Britney when the car or crew didn't let him down... Britney has disappeared completely from the Radar since China.

Spectrum, look back and you'll find that Richard, Sunny and I (aka real F1 fans) have said that if Lulu doesn't get a deal at Mclaren he will go backwards because none of the top teams want him and none of the midfield teams will pay what he wants.
This story claims that he knocked on Ferrari's door and they told him to sling his hook, as we've always said, NOT Ferrari material. He tried the same at RBR and they told him to piss off, so it seems he's trying his luck at a midfield team. IF the Mercedes deal is true I guarantee it wont be 20m a year, more like half what he gets at McLaren. So if this rumour turns out to be real it looks like us "real" F1 fans have been right all along!
