Lewis Hamilton: I don't have a deadline [for making a decision about my future], although obviously before next season would be useful!

So the main priority is picking a team where he can win? What happened to keeping his trophies and having time off to expand his American brand being his priorty?

McLaren have given him a race winning car every season of his career, maybe if he spent more time driving them and less time whining about them he would have won more!

Hamilton would be soooo wrong for Mercedes. Mercedes are known to be hard on tyres and Hamilton is known to be hard on tyres as well.

Both car and driver combined would rip those pirellis apart..

Mercs need smooth drivers like MSC, Rosberg, Button or even Raikkonen for that matter.

"McLaren have given him a race winning car every season of his career"

It that is true how come Alonso, Heikki and Button yet to win the title in the same car?

Im still struggling with which F1 team would take him after the latest escapade. He should really be polishing all of 'Ron's' trophies and making the tea. Ron knows he can drive so 'may' decide to make concessions.

Do we care? Unless, he's announcing that he is to leave F1, shut up and drive.... incidentally that's what he's paid to do. If someone could be kind enough to remind him of that in the forthcoming future so we don't have to endure his drivel and self proclaimed existence as the greatest thing since sliced bread, I think myself and others would be extremely grateful.

Yes it is that simple he is good at what he does that's why Ron and Mclaren wants to keep him, he is a seasoned pro there is no other driver out here to replace as the best ones are tied to contracts.

Would not be surprised if it was actually Hamilton's camp (Simon Fuller and the management team) were the ones who actually leaked the Mercedes rumors to Jordan.

They want Lewis to be in the headlines all the time and this is all publicity for them in making him a 'global brand'.

They will prolong these rumors to keep Hamilton in the public consciousness.
