Alex Zanardi has added to his time trial gold medal by winning the men's H4 road race at the 2012 Paralympic Games.

A legend with no leg-ends!

Seriously, the man is amazing. To come back from such a dreadful accident that so nearly killed him, to not only compete but to win in motor racing again is an incredible achievement.

But he has shown that he is more than that. A likeable character who craves challenge and meets each one in such a brave fashion...

Well, let's just say that I don't have many 'heroes' but Alex is one.

This celebration went slightly wrong, when Alex dropped back into his chair it toppled backwards and he landed on the track. Didn't bother him though, he was back upright in his chair within a spit second having a laugh. His upper body strengh is quite incredible. Congratulation again, as many have said he is inspirational and I think he still has the hand-cycling marathon to come!
