i think mclaren are offering lewis LESS money than button,,,he is obviously not happy about that.
and lewis no longer feels loved in the mclaren team.
its not just about lewis committing to mclaren, its also about mclaren convincing lewis he has thier full support.

oh and perez was quick because he was on fresh tyres from the start.hence the reason why he was able to last so long on his first stint.he then had fresh mediums put on his car, which is why he was so quick from then on.
lewis actually overtook perez earlier on in the race before perez pitted.

My oh my there is so much speculation and conjecture about the Hamilton and McLaren contract negotiations. Do the commentators really have some inside information or is it just speculation, which seems most likely?

Guys get a life. The reality is that experienced negotiators are trying to get the best deal they can for their side in the glowing searchlight of the worlds media. No doubt Hamilton wants lots of dough but also race wins and more championships which will mean even more dough and no doubt McLaren want race wins and championships but have to satisfy a group of investor/shareholders who actually enable the team to play in the F1 arena.

So both sides have similar ambitions but they happen to be on opposing sides of the contract so nothing new there and they will play the game. It's called brinkmanship.javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':)')

Why the calls for the firing of Whitmarsh?. Mr Hamilton was the one who tweeted telemetry wasn't he. Some actions are hard for a team to forgive and forge- Lewis actions were a betrayal of the team and the memory of that will linger. You don't s#$t where you sleep.

marbles. you are forgetting that there are a dozen or so keyboard warriors on here, who think that they are more capable of running an f1 team. just as well they will never get the chance!

@piercarlogassolini...."consequence of the crime, not the crime itsself.".....I think there is a couple of differences between the two incidents. Last week RG was punished not just for the consequences but for the repetition of his "crime" at the start of more than one race. The other difference is the "reaction" of each victim, The victim of this week's "crime" was smart enough to go completely off track to avoid contact...last week's victim did not.

Lewis only show love to Mclaren when he got pole or won a race, but just last race when he tweeted a confidential document ( telemetry ) to prove what? that he is still better than Button who got pole. That just shows how pathetic his personality is, and why until now he still haven't got a contract. Ferrari won't take a man like that, Redbull might or Mercedes, but definitely not Ferrari, not because of Alonso, but he is just not a Ferrari material, Did Alonso tweeted his telemetry after he was taken out by Grosjean and said he could have won the race based on the telemetry, NO he didn't he even kinda forgive Grosjean, that how classy Fernando is, and how pathetic Lewis is.

Winning a race will not make amends to what he did in his tweeter. Clearly Martin is pissed on what he did, same with the his crew and Buttons crew.. He is like the second coming of Jacque Villenueve, won the championship the second year and bitch out the rest of his career.

@Piercarlo - one is a rookie who has had numerous incidents this season as well as his first partial season and the other typically keeps his nose clean. I bet Maldonado would have been parked if he did what Vettel did.
