Checo if you want to win you should stay with Sauber thinking every great driver has to drive for Ferrari is a myth as most of the great drivers refused to drive for Ferrari or never drove for them. Also teaming up with Alonso will mean you will have to play second driver to him and you know how he would down play you as you being a Mexican and he a "proud" Spanish. Stay with Sauber and wait a better deal with McLaren or Red Bull in the near future.

@CaptainKaramelo Ask Checo or any other Mexican and they will explain to you what I mean! If you don't understand the thing don't put your nose in the middle this is way deeper than you could ever imagine!

As a matter of fact, I AM in the middle of it...

Been living in Spain for the past 5 years, used to live in Mexico before that. Have native family in both Mexico DF and Merida (among others).

Still don't see why an F1 driver would "down play" another one because of his passport...

Regardless of what the TV or the press might want you to believe, the occasional Spanish joke towards a Mexican is no different from the casual English joke about, let's say, an Irishman. That's a pub-thing, not a socialogical or political stance!

PS: BTW, travelling tends to opend the mind... just saying...

@CaptainKaramelo lol you say that because I've been to more than 40 countries and I'm an anthropologistS by profession with many Mexican friends and a few Spanish as well!
