There are 175 points still waiting to be gathered, so Button still has a real but diminishing chance of the title. However, i agree with Calvin.

If Button is given a supporting role it will be the ultimate defeat for both Button and Whitmarsh, and with these two scalps the best time for Hamilton to move to another team.

Come on blulz, im not being totally dismissive of your opinion but i would be inclined to lean toward the opinions of a 2xwdc or a f1 team principal that's all, even richard seems to be going the with Peter Sauber's opinion.

Ron. Sorry LewisThePhenomena, my apologies for appearing dismissive. Consider then, do you think the Sauber of Perez was reaping the tyre benefit for failing to make it into q3?

blublz, as Perez/Sauber did only a one stop would it of mattered how many tires he had due to not getting into q3?

But yes Sauber would have benefited on not making it to q3 as the q3 driver would have used up more tires.

Personally i feel Ferrari was the quickest car from practice right through to quali and it was unfortunate that Alonso had a problem with his car. I think the Sauber evolved into the fastest car throughout the race. I feel with these tires are making some cars track specific no matter their engineering specs, and we may not see Sauber on a podium again.

The only thing Mclaren has done is to show constant pace since Hungary but i dont feel they are the fastest and who knows what will happen in the fly-aways especially in parts of Asia were there can be some heavy rainfalls, and we have seen that Mcca are not good in the wet this season.

It amazes me no end the people on this forum that call Jenson, Whitmarsh's golden boy.

Whitmarsh has 2 drivers in his team. Both World Champs, both multiple winners in every season they have raced together and both have scored, as near as makes no difference, the same amount of points in the 2.5 seasons together.

Yet one of those drivers CONSTANTLY criticizes the team and acts like a spoiled child, bringing bad press to the McLaren brand and has done for years.

The other driver comes into the team, immediately endears himself to the team, is the MODEL employee and McLaren ambassador and is always upbeat, positive and thankful for the opportunity the team have given him.

Hmmm....I WONDER WHY WHITMARSH LIKES HIM?

garth. lulus engineer " no! button wont pass you"
buttons engineer "you have got to save fuel"

it happens in all teams, and at least flip knew about it and is prepared to help his teammate!
