Good performance from Brendon.
11 podiums including 5 wins in F3
5 Podiums and 7 fastest laps in Renault World Series
Hardly a dud Josh much better record than some of the drivers who seem to be getting F1 tests of late

I think it may have been a case of Hartley rising through the sport too fast. He will improve the more chances he gets in a F1 car. But I don't see Mercedes using a young driver if Michael leaves at the end of the year. The best he can hope for is more testing opportunities.

A dud??? Do you know anything about F1? Hartley arrived at Magny Cours 3 years out of an F1 car and did 1m 18.6 on hard tyres on the day the track was slower. Merc had been doing 1m 19.0 on soft tyres and worked down to a 1m 17.4. Seems like 1m 18.6 on hard tyres on the slow day is pretty mega to me! WATCH OUT NICO!

Sound like Josh has a dose of The Envy's ! Hartley is a natural talent and one of the fastest young drivers in the world today. His record speaks for itself. I think he is much faster than Josh could ever be ! Who agrees ?

@CMO6 - Thanks for the enlightening comment, Captain Obvious. Of course he's faster than me, it's his job to be a racing driver, not mine. What I'm saying is there are much faster young-guns out there than this kid.

Flip/flop & on/off pace at the best of times, hasn't done anything impressive since leaving Formula 3. Sometimes I wonder if people here actually follow motorsport or if they just enjoy pretending that they do....
