F1 » Hamilton: A lot of stories that aren't true

Lewis Hamilton insists that his attention is totally focused on winning more races and overhauling Fernando Alonso's points lead, rather than listening to rumours about his future.

I wish this bloke would just get out of formula one , he took a lucky title after glock gifted it to him, all he does is moan, crash, moan some more, crash then blame everyone else for his mistakes, four or give times a yr he performs, rest of the yr he very average, let him go to Merc,, it will teach the little bratt a lesson about humility when he's in a car that's very average.

The comments above seem to be in stark contrast to what people who actually know something about F1. Mercedes see him as their team leader and are prepared to break the bank for that, McLaren want to keep him and may not want to pay him as much as Mercedes but it is still a lot more than they pay Button and the person who is better qualified than any body, Alonso, states he is the only driver who can win in a car that isn't the best. So the people who post these comments, you don't have a clue

Strange Richard that a week ago you did not believe any rumours about Kubica testing a Ford rally car and yet we discover he won an admittedly small Italian rally last weekend! However, you hear a story about Hamilton and you believe every word! Selective or what?

Not a fan at all of Hammi, but would like to comment that although on his day he is probably the fastest, but we have only seen him drive for Maca in F1, the car he understands very well and the crew and management whom he (knew) very well. There are at least 5 other drivers in the current lineup that are as a total package(marketability not included) who are faster than him. I honestly believet that Maca have all the intentions of not hiring him and are probably just delaying the inevitable just for his sake, so he can negotiate with other teams.
He needs to be brought down to earth and given a reality check. Yes his WDC was a gift on the plate and he did not deserve it, and now he honestly believes he was robbed one in 2007 too( Go Kimi). I just hope he doesn't win another one this year, because we can see how detrimental that would be for the sport.

Whilst I believe there is some truth to him talking to Mercedes, I'm not fully convinced he has signed for them.
I believe they are the only team his management can use to up the price with Mclaren because plainly Ferrari and Red Bull won't play the game.
Beyond this, who's to say that this isnt Domenicalli or Horner putting rumours about which the press start to fire at Lulu and he implodes mentally before the end of season.
After all, we all know how weak he is psychologically

Nick,I could not agree more, for years on this site the keyboard world champs have denigrated Hamilton and yet those with the power and the purse strings in their control seem to think very highly of him!!
