@ Rahulrossi

I'm sorry, but if he is not good enough, HE DOES NOT BELONG!!!
As much as F1 needs promoting, it is not a rolling advertisement!!! If EVEN VIJAY MALYA EXCLUDED HIm, WITH ALL HIS MONEY, from the Sahara FORCE INDIA team, there is a problem...

And, if he truly is the first Indian on A motorsports grid, how do they have motorsport in India? I think you mean INTERNATIONALLY... But regardless, he is not F1 material.

He brings potentially A BILLION people to the sport. So in that regard he makes F1 even more valuable. How is that useless?

Tata could easily sponsor him at any team they wanted.

We've never seen him in a competitive car so the very harsh criticism is unwarranted.

Button also has only outqualified Hamilton once this year.

If it's all about promoting F1 in India (which is not a bad idea) surely Karun Chandhok is a better bet? Maybe not the best driver in the World but at least he's articulate, intelligent and funny, 3 things that I've not witnessed from Narain.

"We've never seen him in a competitive car so the very harsh criticism is unwarranted."

NK has had more than enough time to show us all what he's made of. And the comprehensive answer is he's nothing.

"Button also has only outqualified Hamilton once this year."

Yes, but is NK a WDC and 14 time race winner?

ive watched this fella for years, only good(ish) race he's ever done was A1GP at Brands a few years back.. 2007 maybe? Cant remember now.
In all honesty, he's beyond rubbish, its a joke. Thanks Narain, but no thanks...

NK was doing really good when he was with Jordan before. So you can't conclude that he is no F1 material.
What can you do in a HRT anyways, best you can do is 23rd.

Taipan, Karun was first approached by Tata to be sponsored at HRT. He did not want any part of it. Granted with him it's possible they could have expanded on better drives in the future.

@ Josh, my point was that only outqualifying your teammate once does not automatically make one a rubbish driver. As Jenson is by no means bad at all.

Sure he is not as polished as some would wish, but i think we all dream of a chance like his. Where someone else can pay us and foot all our bills, no matter how we're performing, just as long as we try our best.

To most F1 fans he's out of place, but to him and his close friends and family, he's riding the gravy train, and actually making history with each and every race.
