"Sure, Lewis is a strong driver and someone I respect as we know how good he can drive with a good car or a bad car and he is second in the standings.

I think Ferrari and McLaren will be strong this weekend and the race may very well come down to a battle between Alonso and the Brit duo. Is there an outsider who can spoil the red and silver party? Wewillsee.

@Rons Golden Boy - He didn't say "any car" he said a "bad car". This is relative to a great car. You may be the only one who thinks that Hamilton could win in a Marussia, Caterham, or HRT. By any chance do you work for the Romney campaign?

Lewis is the in-form driver at the moment in the dry and my tip for the all important pole ahead of Button simply because the MacLaren has been consistently faster than the rest over one lap, and over 1 lap Lewis is better than Button.
It should then be easy for Lewis to control the race from there to win, and will take a monumental effort frm Alonso to beat not only MacLaren but RedBull, Lotus and the newly upgraded Mercedes to avoid anybody eating into his lead!

Mark why would i think Lewis could win in the cars you mentioned when Alonso never mentioned anything about winning. he said drive a good or bad car which would cover any of the cars in f1. And i know he never said any car i was just accentuating his comment.

Maybe you thought i was talking about a Mini Cooper when i said any car did not think i had to spell things out.

The Marina Bay circuit is well suited to Alonso. And I wan't to correct him(or crash)having said that in 2009 he haven't made the podium. Wrong. He finished third in 2009, behind Hamilton and Toyota's Timo Glock, in an uncompetitive Renault R29. People shouldn't writte off Red Bull yet. They are still the reigning world champions and more important, the leaders in the constructors standings. Everyone knew that they wouldn't be competitive at Spa and Monza. This was not the case for them in 2009 or 2010 too, but the next few circuits looks to suit the Bulls.
