No, but now we don't need to hear all the excuses and conspiracy theories on Mclaren pages anymore!!!

Perez and Jenson, very similar drivers, neither media ho's, gonna be a killer team...

And no, I actually haven't been a Schumi fan since he left Benetton.

mixed feelings on this one. as a brit who supports mclaren i'm sad to see a british driver leave the team. i'm also a little disappointed in hamilton... he's always said he values titles more than financial gain. well unless he knows something we don't (and there is always a real possibility that merc gp have some amazing plans for the future) merc gp are not a winning team and as things stand have no chance of winning the title next year.

now the one unknown on the horizon are the 2014 reg changes and the fact that mclaren will then have to pay for engines from merc or whoever? this will come out of their total budget so they'll be less for developing the rest of the car. maybe hamilton feels or has some insight that this change in circumstance will have a bigger effect than we (joe public) realise and so merc gp is the better bet long term. i really hope he hasn't gone there just for financial reasons.
anyway i wish him the best of luck. imho he and alonso are the 2 best drivers...

on the grid today. alonso was able to extract the maximum from a ferrari that is not the best car on the grid. it will be interesting to see if hamilton will be able to do a similar job at merc.

if merc is in the same position next season as this it will be interesting to see how hamilton reacts when he's finishing in the midfield each race... could be fireworks!!!

Too many muppets on here thinking Hamiltoon is the best thing since sliced bread!! 1 drivers title in 6 years
----------------------

In the last 6 Season (2007 - 2012)

Lewis 1 title
Kimi 1 title
vettel 2 titles
Button 1 Title
Alonso ZERO title
Schum ZERO title
Massa Zero Title
Webber ZERO Title

The main fact here is that soooooooo many thought once Lewis leaves McLaren they thought he would end up at HRT or Caterham, say this and that dont want him, well "SHINE YOUR EYES" Atleast he would be working under a real team principle and not F1's answer to Hollywoods Jim Carey

Shocked! Going from a well established successful Formula 1 team, with a winning pedigree......To Mercedes? Brave brave decision! I guess the real winners from this will be red bull and Ferrari! They must be rubbing there hands together with the Hamilton threat gone! Amazing driver..Should be in a top 3 team!
