What I really would like is to hear Ron Denis speak about this matter of "Lulu" going to Mercedes :)

Anyway, I find it strange that lulu went to the same ship from where Button came to McLaren! So I doubt that Mercedes have a secret weapon to give it to lulu except money (money turns the world around).

Did Lulu made the right call in going to Mercedes?.
And I ask, Did Lulu had any other chose?.
He was once again lucky in getting the Mercedes seat for next year, it was only thanks to Schumacher not deciding as if he did decide to stay Mercedes would have gone for him and not for Lulu.
I say he would have well ended without a drive for next year because, his position at mclaren had became unattainable after his tweeter fart, he approached RBR, FERRARI and Mercedes and not the other way round, he was rebuffed by both RBR and FERRARI and we all now know that, what the first chose was for Mercedes, that Mercedes offered the same basic salary mclaren was paying him. As to how good the 2014 Mercedes car will turn out to be like it's a fifty/fifty chance of it being a winner and that's the same for all the other top teams.

Lulu is a no good son of a gun, whitmarsh and Ron treated him like a son and he repays them by abandoning them.

Button beat him last year and he wants more money?
He wants to keep his trophies which no other mclaren has done. Just because he gets a few poles and wins, he thinks he is no 1

Button and Perez will wipe the floor with him next year. Without mclaren he would never have made it this far and have his so called brand.

A primadona if I ever saw one

arcuid. i am actually neutral as to whether or not this is a good move. part of me says that lulu/macca relationship was stale, and he had fallen out of love with them. part of me says that i doubt that merc can make a competitive car, with the current management and design team, and lulu could only do his reputation further damage.

of course, merc could be revitalised, but lulu seems to lack engineering knowledge, and so the team could stagnate.

i would give it a few races next year, before passing judgement. nighty night.

ty. wow, somebody hi-jacking your name, but actually saying what you would say (but in a nicer way! :D)

Technically speaking Mercedes have in place one of the strongest F1 design teams.
As things are all the top teams can only concentrate a bare minimum of resources on next year's car (2013) so big changes are not to be expected for next year, this is because the 2014 design will have to be a clean sheet of paper (all new) which out to absorb the maximum effort and resources.
Although it will be a better position to start off with as good a design team as possible it will still be a 50/50 chance of ending up with a winner this because the others are not going out on holiday.
As to Lulu and mclaren, Lulu's position at mclaren became unattainable, and I repeat, he is lucky not ending without a drive.
