OK, Rob ... I'll take the bet too ...

Nothing suggested has been anywhere as detrimental to the following of the sport as the new engine regulations ...

& you shouldn't believe everything you read!.. :-)

So we're on ... yea? ... 100 quid ... :-)

Everybody seems to have missed something with their comments.... BE was at Ferrari with LDM.... Now maybe this comment comes out of concern that the Prancing horse engine is too much of a donkey and they cant get it right!!!! So LdM has a quick work in the trolls ear and all of a sudden he wants the new units banned?!?!?!......

Bernie doesn't make the rules ok lol...he's a used car salesman just because he says 1 thing doesn't actually mean that's what he wants. What he says is an extreme so his actual agenda is met! He has done this throughout his career. I would list examples but just read his autobiography ! U will probably find Ferrari are worried there engine isn't up to mercs and they want a few more years to develop...well that's one theory! Bernie always gets what he wants even if u don't think he does...it's all smoke and mirrors!

inside track, and scott. what planet are you living on? have you read the rules for 2014? there is NO problem meeting the power outputs required. these engines could be made to provide 1500bhp+, as even 4s have done before. the rules actually are framed to REDUCE bhp to around 650 bhp. so no engine would be a donkey.
and as far as i am aware, ferrari are the FIRST to run the engine, so by your reckoning, it could well be merc which is having a problem.

Luca doesn't like them, Bernie was there for a confab, and popped a quick comment out to the Hindustani Times to make Luca feel like Bernie gives a sh1t.
Waaayy too much money spent on these engines already, including chassis design at this point. We'll be seeing them in 14.
Now if we can get them to unrestrict the HP a bit..

Dont forget Bernie's Water Sprinkler idea to liven up dry races!

(a while ago, the local fire brigade were employed to wet the track at Thruxton on a mid week session or other)
