re: "Formula One would do well to remember the public relates to a driver's career path more than any team with the exception of Ferrari. The rest are just operations. To the public, the sport is about the drivers."

see, damon knows the critical role star-effing plays in the grand scheme. no human short-coming is more responsible for the uploading of cash.

It's a real surprise to learn that McLaren are more interested in McLaren than a driver. Drivers come and drivers go but the McLaren company goes on.

On the other hand Mercedes are not bothered about their brand at all /sarcasm

oli. when did i say that lulu was BAD?

and by the way, button did run away from lulu last year, quite comprehensivly!

as regards exhaust and gasses, i dont think that there is any change mooted for next year. if you have seen something about that, please give me the link.

From the time I read what Ron Dennis said about the renewal of Lulu's upcoming contract and his declared position of what mclaren were willing to pay I was never in doubt that mclaren were pushing him politely but firmly and resolutely out. I know there and then that they have decided they had had enough of his behaviour towards the team.

Did he win it? NO

Did he look like winning it? NO

He only won 3 races out of 19 ! Oops is that the same amount of races as Lewis won?, Nobody cares about runner up, if coming 2nd to Vettel is going to float Button's boat. Good luck to him.

r, you have chosen to simplify it to suit what you would like to believe, the facts as stated by those concerned are, mclaren offered Lulu much less then what they were paying him (basic salary), Mercedes offered him the same as mclaren were paying him (basic salary), mclaren upped their offer to what Mercedes were offering him (basic salary), he signed with Mercedes because, (1) he would earn more money through bonuses and personal sponsors (2) his drive at mclaren was unattainable (3) the other two top teams he went to were not interested. He is lucky indeed to have a drive for 2013 at least with one of the top four teams.

@Bubbles Sparxx

You're missing the point - quite obviously. The reason I mentioned that LULU has come no higher than 4th, is because of how AMAZING you and the rest of the Hamilton fan club continue to tell us - DESPITE the evidence.

No, Button didn't win the WDC, but, like it or not, he was the only driver capable of beating Vettel to the crown - and this includes Alonso don't forget, not just your self destructive idol Hamilton.

Your arguments would be valid, if I and the rest of the Button fans, continually told everyone that Button was the best driver in the history of everything with the most 'raw pace' (whatever that's supposed to mean) and natural talent EVER in the history of the world and could drive a ride on lawn mower and still be faster than everyone else.

If we spewed garbage like that ala Hamilton fans, then your retorts would be valid, but we don't.

We just simply maintain - as PROVEN - that Hamilton is not as good as you all think he is and Button is WAY better t
