If he's motivated (really motivated) I hope its to put something back into F1 like trying his own team or the likes. He's made more money than he will ever know what to spend it on so I hope he's got the motivation to put something back into a 'sport' that has given him so much.

Motivated for what? It's really sad seeing a once great champion being pushed out. Mercedes is trying to tell him something. Maybe, it's time to take that steering wheel and go home.

MS has always said that it takes five years to build a top team as it did at Ferrari
so it's a shame that he has been pushed out after three years in favour of someone who is only interested in himself. He may just get lucky and benefit from all of MS's hard work or he may not in which case we will have to endure lot's of moaning and groaning. I think Mercedes have hit the panic button believing LH is the answer to all their problems. They may well have cause to regret that decision if next year's car is no better and as for MS it would make good sense to go now as driving for any lesser team just because he enjoys racing seems a rather sad way to leave the sport. I hope Mercedes use his massive experience in some way so that he can put something back in after such a amazing career.

At least Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche has today admitted they have not been competitive with the car and it would be completely wrong to reproach Michael Schumacher. No kidding! I can't think of another driver who is more loyal to his team than Schumacher when the car continually lets him down. Lewis will not have the patience. Initially maybe, but not long term.
