I have always felt that Rosberg is a great driver, I really thought when he joined Mercedes GP to watch out he was going to be challenging victory every weekend. Whether it has been the car or not, I am looking forward to see his performance compared to Hamilton's.

It will be interesting to see the outcome. If LH does indeed 'smoke' NR, that will pretty much confirm that for 2010-12 Michael Scumacher was the makeweight we suspect he has been. If LH GETS smoked, it will show we were wrong.

"the only chance he has is that the "tyre preservation" trend that is ruining F1 continues."

Well, Rosbergs getting plenty of practice at "tyre preservation" with the Mercedes. I hope Hamilton manages it just as well as Rosberg does.

And what's this "tyre trend that is ruining F1" thing?

Do you want to go back to races being won at the first corner?

Rosberg is great at defending, but I dont think he has the ability to learn race tracks or get the best out of his car, as hes really only fast at a couple tracks and then suffers else where. Its hard to tell though, F1 has soo much politics inside the team you wouldnt know which way is up looking at it honestly from the outside though.

Rosberg thinks he can match pace with Hamilton..Only Alonzo can do
that, and I might add not consistently. Actually I think that Schumacher
would have been a more competitive teammate, fan wise for sure.

Lewis is a great driver but he does have his faults. He is not the kindest to his tyres and it seems that Mercs main issue is with tyre degredation. Until MB have sorted this issue, LH and MB may not initally be a match made in heaven.

I doubt LH will "smoke " NR for the same reason that Perez will not "smoke" JB, there are no huge gulfs in ability between any of the top drivers, its all down to the machinery. As was seen at the beginning of the year, when everything is working well, anyone can win

Be careful what you wish for Nico. Although a very good driver in his own right I honestly doubt he is at the same level as Lewis, time will tell however it will be interesting to see which one of these two will get the upper hand from the offset. Any bets anyone?
