@Manxie

What has he actually done for F1? Knocking out Hill, Villeneuve, his domination during Ferrari days ("Rubens, let Michael pass for the championship") were meant to be good for him, but for F1? Maybe selling tickets in Germany...

When Shuey retired in 2006 he retired a legend at the top of game. Unfortunately his return has been a failure.

He should have remained retired in 2010 and remained a legend rather soldier on and retire as an also ran. javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':rolleyes:')

For me, he wasn't a legend, really. Just a very talented, arrogant and lucky Guy to have very competitive cars during most of his career and always demanding to be clear #1, therefore he raised his stats to incredible level with no real opposition in some of Ferrari & Bridgestone domination.
Fangio, Clark, Senna... They are LEGENDS, Schumacher has just great statistics, but statistics don't say it all.

Smart move, Mr. Schumacher/

"Retire" before you are fired and humiliated before public. Many failed CEOs and executives do this. You have learnt well.

You will not be missed.

Aww dammit! I'm going to miss him! And I am NOT a fanboy at all. I hated him when I thought he and Briatore were cheating (remember the suspiciously over-worn plank), despised him for ramming Hill & Villeneuve, scoffed when Rubens moved over, but really really admired his skill and huge achievement in becoming the best F1 driver of them all. I hope he still gets on the telly - I've grown to like him over the last 3 years. He's been such a jolly fellow whenever he's been interviewed.

Pity on Rosberg he will stay number two driver for fourth season in Mercedes. Shumi comeback bring for him only battling in the middle of the pack with Saubers, Force India and Williams. And many exuses for on interviews
