The Red Bull would be even better if the FIA closed the loophole that Mclaren have been exploiting with their engine maps that have given them a substantial power advantage, The FIA say it cannot now be rectified till the end of the season, if it was the Red Bull it would have to be sorted by the next race !

@107SS2009,

You havn't missed anything, it has not been in any of the news but it is a fact, the Mclaren has been exploiting a loophole in the engine mapping regulations that give them a power boost, other teams are aware of this but the FIA are unwilling to act on it, there is nothing wrong in exploiting loopholes, it is just the unfair inconsistancy of the governing body how they deal with it.

red balls. that is what you are talking! macca do not have any unusual mapping. instead, they have been complaining about rbr mapping, which has been proved to be legal. if there was a complaint against macca, the fia have every ability to modify the rules mid season.
please give a source for your "information"

however, macca have gained speed by the use of a feathering wing over the last 4 or 5 races. fia have already taken action over it, by introducing a revised test. it was clearly visible on maccas that end plates were not on the same flat plane as the floor, something that is required, but the fia cannot act purely on video evidence or photos.

Richard,

Firstly don't be rude, you should only write things that you would say to someones face. Secondly I never said Mclaren were doing anything illegal, I just dislike the way the governing body deal with things, it is always instant action with Red Bull but others are not dealt with so sternly. Thirdly if what I say becomes official then the least you can do is apologise for your tone, and oh yes before I forget, my sources, I work in the industry, at Red Bull funny enough
