Are you freaking kidding me? Lotus guys used their time developing this thing rather than other aspects of the car and its been ready for 4? races and they are not running with it. I cant even start to tell how pissed of I am and disapointed...

Back in August, speaking of 'the device' James Allison said, "it would definitely pay for itself over the remainder of the season".

I think it's about time Lotus came out and said, the system isn't working for them, as it does not seem to be worth the paper it was designed on.

Matt, you out to stop being disappointed/pissed off as they might never use it (the thing) as it is something that is not easy to tune for different tracks, but I do understand how you feel after all their boost talk about it.
To understand how dangerous it can be if it kicks in when not wanted go look at the overtake Maldonado did over I don't know who in last race at Singapore, he was just a bit aggressive in his overtake while under the DRS and he was very lucky he didn't lost it completely.

@107SS2009
'the device'is reminiscent of the 2011 rear facing exhaust. It's great on paper but would take a little time to develop, and we know where that got them. Raikkonen has been waiting to use 'the device' for six races, and it's just not happening. With five races to go and an outright ban next year, I can't see it ever being used.

elijah, that's exactly what I suggested to Matt "they might not ever use it".
And yes, the forward blowing exhaust was the best ofthe lot on paper too but agian not easy to make it work properly.
