Hulkenberg must be looking like a tasty option for Ferrari after driving from p15 on the grid to finish seventh. That's a solid drive, especially in a midfield car.

Leading up to this race there was a story about the FIA getting tough on the flexi-wing issue again, with new tests to check whether or not some teams were taking a chance.

Then all of a sudden in Japan McLaren weren't the fastest car anymore - unlike the previous races.
In fact, without incidents eliminating some drivers, LH & JB could well have finished just 7th & 8th with their pace.
