Mark Webber has launched into a blistering attack on Romain Grosjean, calling him a "first-lap nutscase" and saying that the Lotus driver's performance is "embarrassing at this level."

@jd002: i totaly agree with you.
Seems like Grosjean didn't even lift off when he hit the back of Mark' car.
Just make room for himself like you would do with rental go-kart.

Roamin should be banned from racing for the rest of this season. He is simply too dumb to be racing alongside other F1 drivers.

Give him a long 'break' to mature. If he still does not improve, tear up his super-license permanently.

Even Pastor Maldonando seems to be slowly maturing and learning from his mistake. Grosjean has that French delusion of grandeur in his blood and refuses to learn from his mistakes.

I'm surprised he did not try to blame Weber for causing the incident. I remember near the start of the season when he hit Schumacher from behind and then blamed it on Schumacher hitting him. Total moran.

I really couldn't believe what I saw with this incident. Webber was in 3rd on the racing line that turned to the right. Perez had 4th on the same line and Grosjean somehow thought he could dive up the inside of Perez on the 2nd turn of the race into a tightening bend. If he hadn't ran straight up the back of Webber, he'd have gone straight off the track, unable to turn at the speed and angle he was driving at. Pure madness. Lotus must be so angry at him. With Alonso out, they had a real chance to close in on Ferrari if both Lotus cars had managed to finish in the points. I imagine Webber, Rosberg and Perez also wouldn't be happy...

@ clichy - Webber was in a position where he should not have had to use his mirrors.

Webber confronted the "nutcase" after the race and he apologized to Mark. He also admitted to a "stupid mistake" if you read some articles.

Grosjean needs another ban, maybe one for 3 races.

This move was worse than what he did at Spa, the consequences were lesser just because Webber spun off the track - if Webber had spun in the other direction towards the rest of the field, it would have caused chaos. I guess in that case Grosjean would have got banned again - the FIA seems to ban people not for moves, but on the consequences of their actions.

The BBC F1 site are running a montage of Grosjean incidents. It makes painful viewing. It's hard to see how Grosjean can avoid labels like, crash kid or nutcase, as his errors stack up. Labels like these stick, and result in receiving future penalties, sometimes for the slightest misdemeanours, which would otherwise go unpunished.
Grosjean does not come across as proud or arrogant, and he needs help, so I can not think of no better mentor than Kimi Raikkonen, to give him the help he so desperately needs.

All I can say is Alonso went way to the left to be as far as possible to grosjean but unfortunately he went too far and was taken out by the other lotus, so the conclusion is even without touching someone you can cause a collision.I m just joking ,it is sad but not worth a ban.

he as got no spacial awareness...he fixes his mind on making the apex and looks towards the apex without looking at whats going on around him.....lotus should consider making him go to gp2 for another season..should of offered schumacher that seat for next season before he retired..

One Australian complains a fair bit, now an Australian needlessly gets put in a situation where he could have been in a major pile up and you say he is doing the Aussie whinge. You are a prize plumb mate. That may slide for stoner but not webber who had every right to be angry IMO. I'm only surprised that crash hasn't reported ALL of what webber said after the race, gave me a chuckle anyway.
