Mark Webber has launched into a blistering attack on Romain Grosjean, calling him a "first-lap nutscase" and saying that the Lotus driver's performance is "embarrassing at this level."

Yeah, if you spent 3 days practicing, setting your car up, qualifying and doing endless PR, only to be taken out within 15 seconds of the actual race, anyone would be pissed. All that work thrown out because Grosjean had his eye on block-passing Perez and not looking ahead.

This is a worse mistake than Spa, but the results aren't as severe, hence the lesser penalty. But at the same time, the results were more severe at Spa because it was like a 270 degree hairpin, and you're expected to be extra cautious there at a start.

Real shame, I like Grosjean as a person but he cannot continue on the path he is on. He's even lost his constant smile. He started so well this season but he has just spiraled downwards taking out anybody in his path.

Grosjean is fast, but he needs to learn racecraft- he appears to have little or none at this point.

If he can learn some, he might just become one of the top drivers.

If he doesn't he will end up without a ride.

They say it is easier to teach a fast driver wisdom than it is to teach a wise driver speed...

Somebody needs to teach Grosjean SOMETHING soon.

Grosjean is a risk to all the F1 drivers. He seems like a charming guy but the minute he gets inside the car, he is a completely different person. He becomes this reckless driver and is a danger to the sport.

I do think Lotus should get Hulkenberg or Diresta for next season and drop Grosjean. He is damaging the reputation for the team and is a loose cannon.

What is the point of just being quick on 1 lap but he can't complete a race accident free? Points are scored at the end of the race and not over 1 lap.

Ironically, Webber warned Grosjean prior to Singapore race should Grosjean hit Webber he better be wearing a pair of running shoes as Webber will be going after him...

I believe FIA has been wanting French driver and Grosjean was the answer to their prayers. However, from the liability standpoint Grosjean is more of serious risk than a blessing FIA had hoped for.
