And where will that get's you? As long as your team mate doesn't get in front of Alonso it will not benefit your team mate or your team.
And even if you win the race and your team mate finishes second and Alonso finishes third it will only benefit Alonso.

Sunny - Webber is not mathematically out of contention.
As a Webber fan myself, I know he wont win but I say go for it anyway and Beiber can look after himself.
Webber didn't get any help from Seb in 2010 when he led the title most of the season, so why should he back up Seb now when there is still plenty of points to play for.

Bit late now. Nowhere near the top ever since the contract was extended.

Raikkonnen is ahead on points on pure consistency with an arguably slower car. Vettel had an extra win the bag before his engine blew up.

Im a fan of Mark's but its hard to root for him when he does nothing for half the championship.

little kangarooo2 sleeps for months, than he wakes up and needs to win...

he should wish his master Vettel mechanical problems then...
otherwise he will serve champagne on the podium to his team mate.

While a win here would for sure boost MW's chances, He would need a whole host of other things to go wrong with everyone ahead of him to have even a sensible chance at the WDC. I am a fan of MW, and on his day, he can be on the top podium. He has consistency this season of finishing in the points, just the problem is that it's been in the lower 1/2 of the points.

I hope he pulls at least 1 more win this year or early in 2013 to show the RBR bosses he still has what it takes to win. Otherwise I fear 2013 could be his last season with RBR

... with team principal darling boy seb, always doing the job, I sincerely think Webber is needed only to assist in the wcc title. Am yet to see a team as bias as the rbr team. When things go wrong for seb, jx look at the expression at face of horner even when Webber is winning. me think he should have taken a challenge same here if really he fancy a wdc.

Webber needs to do well to help Red Bull ensure the constructor's championship. Red Bull are leading because they've got the best pairing in F1 at the moment (imagine where Fernando or Kimi's teams would be if they had strong team-mates). Webber was still in the running up until Japan, but thanks to being punted off the track at turn 2, I can't see him getting back into this season's driver's championship race.

IF you wanted to win more races after Silverstone you shouldn't had signed that second driver contract for 2013 now all you can do is support Vettel. Sorry chap!

Sunny,

You well know that winning GP's is very significant for a driver, even if they are not likely to win the WDC. I would not only like to see Mark at the top of the podium, I'd also like to see Felippe win one for Ferrari before the season is out.

Izyblu and Googol, I understand what you both said including the way you feel about it.
But I was talking about what is bad and what is good for Alonso and Vettel, will repeat just one line, if Webber wins it will be better for Alonso then for Vettel and RBR.
