People keep saying that Ferrari still has a crap car but Massa got a podium last weekend, and we just haven't seen Alonso finish races lately when he looks fast. Hopefully we get a real gauge this weekend with both Ferraris finishing.

so Massa started the year 1.5 secs behind Alonso and is now matching the Spanish's time. If you believe Massa has had in the first half of the season the same car as Alonso you are just dumb.

@ Dylan
How is Massa as quick as Alonso now? Ok fair enough Massa struggled to keep the car on the track at the beginning of the season but but dont say he didnt have the same car as Fernando. Over 3 seasons Massa was probably as quick or slightly quicker than Alonso on like 2-3 occasions, just face it Fernando is faster than Massa.

The differences are indeed quite small. A lot will depend on whether one of the RBRs escapes in the first lap. In the race they can't use the new Newey trick with the DRS all the time and compromising straight line speed in order to put more downforce on with such long straights probably isn't the best idea.

If (likely Seb) one of them goes through the first lap first that's the end of it, but if they get stuck it might be interesting to see if others behind can take them on the straight since they're not that far off and probably losing through the corners.

Also, again Lotus is looking like the 4th/5th best team out there, as was to be expected. The engine is clearly important here and without RBR's DRS trick the Renault in the Lotus can't cut it, while McLaren, Mercedes and FI are all going well.
