Elsewhere in JB related news, he says he is excited to become defacto number one next year. Just what he has always wanted. However, all a bit strange given what he has said previously about equal status and team orders. However, not so strange when you factor in his abject refusal to support his teammate while he still has a mathematical chance. This has now changed, presumably because he knows he has no chance, to helping the team win the WCC, where he can still take points from LH and claim to be achieving his goal.

Dylan,
How do you 'Over drive' a F1 car?? Richards Clams that maybe
Lewis is just to hard on gearboxes. In a f1 car the gearbox is completely controled by electronics. I can't see anyway a
driver can damage a F1 gearbox, aside from assaulting it
physically.
Dam Sam, its almost sunup, Enough of the noise..

Adios, Jose

Plenty of childish comments on here today from armchair racing drivers. McLaren have selected 2 good drivers to cover what they want in terms of experience, feedback and outright speed. Supporting one driver does not mean hating all the others, but then maybe that is a function of age.....

Ok, first off, its really pathetic how some here take spiteful, malicious delight in putting Button over Hamilton, but we all know the reason for that !
It will be interesting to see how Mclarens No 1 fairs against the No 1s at RBR, Ferarri, Mercedes next year. Yeah, I can't wait. Im laughing already. Ive said it before, Button is the most overrated British driver the world as ever seen.

RICCARDO ruined Quali 3 by not parking the car safely earlier.

Why leave it right on the outside of a corner in a dangerous position and make people lift due to yellow flags?

Thanks Richard for pointing out my goof. Just had a long, long week on the PC at work, am not a big fan of the keyboard today! Have corrected my post. Cheers.

@blackstar you're kidding right. The most overrated British driver is Hamilton, the British media & his annoying fanboys big him up to be some sort if F1 God! He's only won 1 WDC & every season since hasn't finished any higher than 4th.

The Hamilton fans make me SICK! They call every driver every name under the sun & belittle every driver than beats Hamilton. I can't wait to hear what their excuses will be when Jenson, Perez, Alonso, Vettel & Raikkonen are romping away in the championship from him. They really do enjoy a good handful of sour grapes.

You may like one guy but STOP belittling every other driver. It doesn't reflect well on your knowledge of the sport or on Hamilton as a driver!

So let me try and figure out how this works. Yesterday when Lewis was nowhere and Jenson was up the front all the little fangirls were whining conspiracy. But today Lewis was fast and Jenson was nowhere. So what happened to the conspiracy? Fangirls, please explain?

Well done Mark, fantastic lap. With Ferrari and McLaren's relative race pace to that of the Red Bull, it could be a cracking GP tomorrow, fingers crossed!
