I turned off as soon as he crashed. Just about sums up his season, great or awful. More of the latter unfortunately.

I'm not planning on watching F1 if he isn't on the grid next year, unless another driver catches my eye, sitting around watching Vettel lap at the front for upto 2 hours its boring. Got to hand it to Red Bull they're a fantastic team, but they make Vettel look like a God.. Which he is not.

It looked like he made a slight mistake that cost him, Jenson, and Nico big as Kamui himself tweeted that it was his mistake. It is rare to see him coming to pit after the opening lap, at which he is very good, so I was a bit surprised.

I believe that Kamui saw a bit room in front of him, went for a chance, finding nowhere to go, and slid under braking a little bit. He took the risk, on the edge, and it did not pay this time. That sometimes happens to other good drivers. Quickly comes to my mind is Kimi touching Alonso in Suzuka start. F1 drivers do not want to back off.

I hope that Kamui will stay in F1 next season as Barnie would like. Remember good races and overtaking shows in 2010 and 2011, and 2012 races that he shone. 4 races to go, Kamui will show us good races for sure.
