McLaren are a complete joke, no wonder Lewis is leaving at the end of the season.... though watching Tooned today you'd think he'd already left. (Rumour is that he has already checked out of McLaren)

richard, given your statement, I presume that you expected LH's anti-roll bar to fail as MW has stated that his excessive tyre wear was due to this. Perhaps you can tell us what will fail on his car at the next race.

What is everyonw questioning Hamilton's choice to join Mercedes?

Did you know that they are his real financial backers who bankrolled his career?

Did you know that Button did the same thing in years back leaving Sauber to Join Honda for more money?

Did you know that when Mercedes decided to buy up Brawn they could have transferred him to Mercedes, since at the time They owned the majority of McLaren?

I remember in 2007 Vettel was BMW's test driver, later in the year STR got rid of Scott Speed, they signed Vettel. Red Bull wanted to take back their investment.

Well Mercedes are just doing the same. Lewis has had a bad car before. Remember 2009?

Not a fan but i give credit where its due unlike the 3 amigos this was a good drive by lewis considering the trouble with the car but to be fair he went wide and picked up his roll of carpet of track

Let's imagine what the result might have been. He could have followed Kimi home in p6, if he'd let him pass sooner. Or didn't shred his tyres trying to overtake him. Ah, but that requires ... brains!

Brains could have got him a few more points than the ONE he finished with. Now the deficit to Kimi is doubled, and Webber will pass him in the standings at the next race.....
sad to be one crayon short of a full set. He just gotta race on the track no matter what !

As that piece of carpet seemed to lengthen and get closer to his right back wheel, I was wondering what would happen if it got caught and pinned under the rear tyre. Would that have wrenched the side pod off or possibly have caused Lewis to have an accident?

True.
But he was not the only driver to have crossed this verge.
It was torn up by many other driver excursions.
Unfortunate to pick up a chunk of AstroTurf, just relieved it did not cause an accident.
More worrying is the fact that the track construction is such that this damage could occur.
Still didn't spoil the action too much, just hope it is rectified for next year.
