The only one who deserve it, will be the one who win it at the end of the season.

Don't forget Vettel would be comfortable with over 50 pts ahead of everybody if he didn't have mechanical failures twice.

I'm not sure about the majority of opinion here on Crash however I for one would tend to agree with Lewis on this point. It has been some considerable time since Alonso was last the world champion and as I have reiterated on another post the last thing I want to see is the same driver and team dominate the sport year after year. Takes us back to the Schumacher era, although entertaining for Schumacher fans ultimately it perhaps was becoming predictable and somewhat boring for those fans of F1 as a whole.

Df I believe Alonso has been wiped out in 2 races so you could say the same for him. Every driver has their good day and bad days which balance out over the season. I just know its making for and exciting end to season.

I guess Hamilton isn't pro Alonso - it's much more a anti Vettel thing that's coming to his mind. He told everybody before, that he hopes Vettel isn't gaining too much ground on him in terms of wins (and championships).
Vettel winning the crown this year would mean three championships in a row - that's impressive. So in reality Hamilton just chooses the lesser evil in my opinion .. who knows....

It would be good to see Lewis help Fernando win the title, as a last goodbye to McLaren hahaha.

Fernando does defnitely deserve it though. Other than the 2 times he's been hit from behind this year (by a Lotus) he's scored in every single race. He's never really had the best car (most of his wins this year were in the wet, which were most attributed to skill than car). I think it would be heartbreaking to most people as well as himself to see the title slip away this close to the end of the year, after all the effort he's given.
