Whilest, being British, I'd like to see this happen, Bernie seriously can't expect the government to blow 31million a year on a race weekend, because to be honest there is already enough money problems in this country as it is.

Dear Bernie,

Take a bite of a reality sandwich. People are losing their houses and some people can't feed their kids. A London GP is just what we need to solve our problems

Not going to pay for it anymore then Berney? Maybe because you had to say that to get the right people interested and when you did you had to pull the rug out. Typical bent Berney deal.

We all know your just a horrid greedy little hobbit but "that man who ran quick" has got a name. So have some respect and use it.

TBH if it costs 31 million and we get back triple that then it is worth it BUT I personally don't believe any government should bank roll it.
They should be able to deliver it at a profit after all the tickets and other revenues are taken into account but of course that is also impossible as Bernie and his cronies already take too much back making it difficult for events to ever make a significant profit for their efforts
And yes, good old Bernie said he'd fund it...not the first time he has lied through his teeth though is it?

Bernie knows that him funding the race and government taking (tax) on all of his profit doesnt sound like a great business case, why do you think FIFA didnt give the world cup to England? because the tax man wasnt prepared to yeild on the corporation tax, Sepp Blatter wanted a tax break on everything FIFA makes during the tournament
