Anyways. No Ferrari nor Alonso have NOT blown the WDC according to Crash. (bias) article btw. Now, 2 DNF's that were caused by Lotus's. Tell me Crash how Ferrari and Alonso "blown" the WDC?

Alonso for 2012 WDC!

Its still all to play for. Could very well (and hopefully) go down to the wire. It would be unfair in my opinion to say they have "blown it" when in comparison to Michael Schumachers era. Drivers nowadays are just not allowed to do what gave Schumacher so many flawed wins.

Dont think it is a case of Alonso or Ferarri blowing it, more like Alonso just being an observer in watching the Red Bull team working their magic in out developing and performing Ferrari Alonso is still driving brilliantly but the last few races has seen f1 technical ability being stronger than the best driver in f1 who needs his team to try and put the F2012 on an equal or similar performance footing as the RB8.

Don't think it is a case of Alonso or Ferrari blowing it as that would sugest they lost the lead due to driver mistakes or car unreliability which has not been the case.

Pat Fry was never more needed to come up with some magic in his F1 career than now.

@Crash,

As a market researcher, I can tell you, the scale you have used for measuring the responses is completely screwed up. While the extreme items "SV will win" and "Alonso will win" make sense while all items in between are at best confusing. Thats why such high responses for the extremities. You could have used a three point scale:
1. S.V will win the championship and Ferrari have blown it
2. No Ferrari can do it and FA will win
3. Not sure, it will be a close call.

Oddly worded survey. Ferrari have been fine all year ie no mech dnfs or pitstop woes. Alonso needed the cushion he built up very badly. I believe it will haunt him to the end of the year and beyond the doing he got from the lotus drivers

I just learned Massa was running an experimental RBR style exhaust last time, that's why he was catching up with Alonso. Next race Alonso will have the same exhaust ...

They havent blown it due to there being four races to go, all drivers below Felipe Massa in the wdc standings have blown it, after the indian GP a couple more will have blown it, Alonso wont be one of them for at least two more races

backwards taipan. sorry to disappoint you, but massa ran the same car as alonso, in korea. there was a report in a spanish paper but NO mention was made of massas car having an rbr type exhaust. check the video footage! the two cars were identical, and NO different exhaust.
