I think Cosworth have to be worcking on one place that they can win!! for Long time that they dont build competitive engines, they are just a cheap way of find one engine to run him f1.. And basacly who runs there engines are saying that will not be fightingh for the top places him F1.. I sugest to you guys to talck with Ford and to go to Wtcc, then you guys can star making 1.6 turbo engines for 2014 and make a good job, Ford can be a top Team on Wtcc and Cosworth is well know for great tuning for road cars.. Or Wtcc or Wrc its better for Cosworth then F1..

Perhaps McLaren can buy it and become one of the manufacturer teams?
It should be straightforward for a team like McLaren thats renowned for legendary levels engineering discipline and excellence to turn Cosworth into a front runner.

@ Owen:
Lotus' IndyCar engines were designed and manufactured by Cosworth.
Due to Lotus' lack of commitment and sponsorship money, Cosworth could not advance with the necessary development process. Hence, the whole program went down the toilette.
Unfortunately, Cosworth is in no position to develop and market an IndyCar engine program based only in it's own resources.

While I don't want to see Cosworth fall out F1 again, they have not done anything spectacular since coming back. With good investment they could come back strong, but it's hard for any team to take that risk, esp since you can get a Ferrari, Merc, or Renault donkey.

The name Cosworth is still the same but when hey last withdrew from formula one they lost most of their key members, when they returned they were a shadow of their selves, whoever buys them out if the intentions are a return to formula one will have to rebuild them up first as otherwise the new owners will end up having acquired just a shadow of the original Cosworth.
