Doesnt matter how many times you say it 'driving better than ever' hes still not winning anything apart from the odd race - a championship, that doesnt make.

To quote my old school report "Very disappointing"

Ali said I am the Greatest in 1964 before he fought Sonny Liston, can you remind us what happened next?

Jose Mourinho said I am the special one in 2004, he landed Chelsea's first League title in 50 years, then back to back, all record, he then landed Inter Milan's first European title in nearly forty years, he wrestle the title away from Barcelona. he did say I am special... and he went on to win in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain

Self Praising or should I say self confidence

But Lewis only said I am driving better now than before!

"Let the sick say am strong"

Jasper, Taipan is a boxing fan and although i agree with you regards Liston and Ali be prepared for Taipan to come out with "Liston was passed it"

richy, although Ali got knocked out he went on to greatness and beating George Foreman when Ali was 32 must be the pinnacle of his success many pundits feared for Ali thinking he could be killed in the ring as Foreman had lifted Joe Frazier of his feet with a punch when they fought. As for jos he won the Spanish league last season and is becoming one of the great managers.

@wheeltowheel

When you guys come up with your contrived stories of "immature behaviour" and how it affects the teams brand I simply burst into uncontrolled laughter.
Firstly, it is ONLY IN THE UK that Lewis is dragged through mud, to the rest of the World, he is a gem.

As for Lewis "immature behaviour" affecting the teams brand, how come he moved from a relatively unknown brand outside F1 to one that is of truly mega proportions?

Ali beat Liston in the 64 fight and the 65 rematch. He beat all the other top heavyweights. A true sporting legend, he compares with other world class sportsmen such as Babe Ruth and Pele. They and others had spectacular success in their chosen sport.
Jose Mourinho, has been hugely successful as well and so you could argue that he is almost certainly going be one of football's greatest managers. He is young still so plenty of time and room on the shelf for more legend building trophies.
Not a footy fan, but I love the self belief. He knows he is v v good, in the same slightly cheeky way that Bolt just knows he's the best. Fantastic, and an inspiration for all us lesser mortals. Makes me smile. Having said that. Some of my clients have found that I too, am pretty good at what I do. So good, if fact, that sometimes, it's almost frightening! :-)

Quade Apparently you think it is perfectly acceptable for an internationally known sportsman to go around making a complete global tit of himself every five minutes. It would be very much better for him, personally, and for those commercially associated with him, and for the sport in general if he would JUST THINK, for a moment, preferably BEFORE he acts, or speaks. If Ham continues to act like a very small spoilt boy, we will all see how long it is before Ross Brawn, Norbert Haug and the members of the Mercedes main board get fed up and decide to take matters into their own hands.
Ham is v v fast, granted, BUT the stupid behaviour has got to stop and it has to stop now. It is totally unacceptable for most serious minded people. He has some serious growing up to do. FAST!
