@ richard and jayne and co, I'm not myopic about any one driver I have to say, I rate LH very highly all the time he's in the car but I'm not a fan when he takes the helmet off tbh, but I only ever read negative comments from his non-fans even when he's driven a great race and I think that's what rattles his fans ... in my view he's getting to be an awful lot like Nigel Mansell, always 100% behind the wheel but a nightmare out of it IMHO

Well,Britains best he is !
In my eyes, Whitmarsh is guilty of perpetuating an unjust status quo at Mclaren since Melbourne 2010, for fear of the quicker driver wiping the floor with the slower driver. How can one explain the 5 point difference between the two over 3 years when the differences at RBR is 211 points, and Ferarri 375 points, even at Mercedes Rosberg has 129 points more than Schumacher.
But we won't have to wait too long before the press turn hostile on the slower driver, because "what is done in darkness will be brought to light"

He who drives with a green ribbon needs to wake up and smell the swiss cheese. He who drives with a green ribbon is no longer a top 3 driver for a top 3 team. Time has not been kind to he who drives with a green ribbon. The big three are ALO, VET and KIMI. He who drives with a green ribbon is one of the also rans starting 2013 !

roomtemp IQ,
Here is how, with math!

in 2010-2012 LH earned so far 620 points
in 2010-2012 JB earned so far 615 points
The difference being 5!
obviously pointing out over a three year average two equal drivers, where the other teams you mention have a sharper drop in talent or luck or both. PS. The tortous only beat the hare in 2011

And the 'hare' only beat the 'tortoise' in 2010.

Well history is about to repeat itself (I know Whitmarsh is doing everything to prevent that happening) We all know the score
