F1 » Hamilton 'driving better than ever'

Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to this weekend's Indian Grand Prix, insisting that recent results don't match his on-track performances.

@Jayne

We know how it goes. Someones says, "Its his beard I hate," then another adds, "its his girlfriend and his Rowan Atkinson-Rihanna crowd that makes him so hated," then another adds "...but its not his talent that we hate."

There is no "good hate." All hatred is a strand of the same ugly thing. Lets admire all F1 talent, what our business with their personal lives? Except that some of us hint the Lewis is undeserving, which in turn hints that his attitude should be servile, which in turn hints at much darker and uglier undercurrents.

@Taipan

So to you, Lerwis is "stupid!" Funny stuff! Maybe you want to apply for position of "dad" next.
He doesn't even know or care about your existence and will continue to be one of the best F1 drivers the world has ever seen, regardless of the tripe you throw his way on the internet. He won't be getting any slower, his girl wouldn't get less pretty, Rihanna and Rowan Atkinson would still be thrilled by him... So give it up. Hatred makes you ill.

Evening Ghog, Yeah it all seemed a bit quiet since I "toned it down" that's no fun is it?

Ron, Jayne and I could also talk about F1 history, facts, cars, races, drivers, teams all pre 2007 indeed that would be fun, hopefully one day I can talk to you about such things also. (I can hope mate!)

Thanks for the welcome back, as for me toning it down? (you can hope mate!)

Several of the top drivers have the 'attributes' Quade outlines, however they dont tend generate to generate the amount of incidence's of 'silly' behaviour Hamilton does howvever, most of them would possibly be described as boring by LH's fans. The other drivers also (to the public at least) understand the 'win as a team, lose as a team' mantra. J8 is simply a nicer bloke for the team to deal with, is less likely to embarrass the team and sponsors, and over almost three seasons, despite getting spanked by Hamilton in qualifying, has scored 5 points fewer.

lol @Taipan actually having abilities to talk about the finer points of F1!!! I guess that won't be on a thread that mentions Lewis.
It just sounds so odd (like discussing astronomy or Shakespear in a footballing pub), I'm falling off my chair with laughter!

I don't see how Jensons being "nice guy" as you claim has any bearing on formula one or on Lewis.
Martin Whitmarshe fell for the tabloid / football hooligan decibels about Lewis and now McLaren is worse for it. Next season, there will be no Lewis to do underhand things to (to the extent that he published the evidence on twitter at a point), so we either see JB winning the WDC next year, or you eat your boots (I'll supply the beers).

My McLaren bets are on Perez for 2013 and JB sulking off into the sunset. As far as British drivers are concerned in my books, the only two worth it are Lewis and Di Resta.
