@Quade,, slightly more than his girlfriend and the number of high calibre fans you go on about., and as for McLaren and Mercedes relative performance next year, do you know that for sure, or are you just guessing?

I didn't compare the 2013 McLaren and Mercedes cars, nobody can tell what next year will bring and the smart money is on Mercedes not becoming a top team until 2014. But I expect a top driver like Lewis to wring the last ounce of performance from any old lump of metal, so car-craft wise, it should be a really thrilling year.
More than anything, next year will bring Lewis the sort of experience that only years and varied sorroundings can, so by 2014, he should be right up there with Alonso, although much younger. He already has more speed.

Quade, it's good to know that he will FINALLY (hopefully) get up to Alonso's level by 2014 - two years from now. Thank heavens for that! I'm glad that's settled and other Hamilton fans should take note.

@silent observer

Lewis has more talent than Alonso, but Alonso is much older and experienced. Lewis needs that same level of experience, hopefully he will complete that journey next year (much earlier than Alonso did) and go on to become the legend he is destined to be.

By the way, I don't go around rubbing mud on drivers as the less mature folk on the web do, so I find no qualms saying that Alonso is a very good driver (as is Lewis). Lewis and Alonso are are well beyond the other drivers talent-wise, it is fitting that both Lewis and Alonso regularly state this same fact, even if obliquely.
