@Lewismerc, He didn't have to lie, he was pretty grown up you know, alledgedly with a mind of his own, He IS a liar himself, he justified his lie by saying he always did what the team told him to do, which is fair enough, except that he didn't do what the team told him to do in Hungary 2007 did he ? He's liar, He also lied about his reasons for leaving England, laying the blame at the feet of those fans who'd probably bought his caps and t shirts, he is only concerned with his own image and only paid lip service to the team of people that supported him for years, he's an ingrate, and good riddance to him.

lulus dad was his manager,

Then you say his manager went to the Steward, would it be ok if it was Simon Fuller that went to meet the Steward. at the end of the day Alonso was just bitter and insecure

So you want Lewis to say he is leaving England for financial reason? Wow! why didn't Jenson and Mansell say they were leaving England for financial reason? The main fact here is that in 2007 he saw an advantage and he didnt want to loose it, at the end of the day THE TEAM told him to LIE!!!! In Barcelona THE TEAM lied to him about a problem with the car instead of saying he was short fueled.

lulumerc. first of all, simon fuller is not lulus manager, but his company acts as lulus manager.

secondly, yes, it is a managers job to act in the best interests of his client, so there is every reason why a manger could go to the stewards if he felt that there was a breach of some rule, affecting his charge.

I think you'll find it is only the race director who can inform the stewards of any incidents. The stewards can also investigate anything they see that they feel needs investigating.

A manager/driver/nosey parker would have to approach either the Race Director or the Clerk of the course (who could then report to the RD)

Anyone on here living in Brackley ? Does it have a Jewellers on the high street ?.

It looks like today was his last visit to Woking so hopefully he'll never darken the doorsteps of the Tech Centre again so i hope he got some pics today, of his trophies, because he wont be winning any more will he ?. Its going to be extremely gratifying watching first Jenson and the Sergio whizz past Lewis on the track next year, plus of course there's the prospect of all those entertaining tweets to come "Nico had a new wing and i didn't" etc etc etc.
Nice to see waters of the lake at the Tech Centre looking so calm and placid, next year is a new era for McLaren, a brighter future now that the cloud has passed over :)

@Lewismerc, Lewis Hamilton will lie through his teeth when it suits him, there's well documented proof of that. Furthermore when he isn't dangerously hooning on a public highway, or accusing his team mate of disrespecting him, he's giving away the teams secrets via twitter, he's not a team player, not in any sense of the word, and if you think he is you should read Marc Priestleys comments about the real Lewis Hamilton, the one who only shook the mechanics hands when there was a tv camera present, the one who manipulated the press to get them onside. Open your eyes Lewismerc, Hamilton is concerned only for his own image, not the teams, not anyone elses, just his, and now he's gone, and McLaren will be a better place to work, and a better team in F1.

he's giving away the teams secrets via twitter,

Racestat is what you call teams secret? wow! well he was brought up from a kid by a racing team that was caught with Ferrari's confidential documents so I could say he was well trained. The main fact here is that everyone wanted him sacked, now he is going and most of you couldn't stomach it. The man fact here is that he has ACHIEVED everything he could achieve at McLaren!

-----------

Does that mean Lewis would be still qualifying ahead of Button in a slow car?
