I beg to differ, McLaren wasnt fast enough thats why Senna joined Williams, and yes during the 1992 - 93s seasons Senna wrangled out some victories but that was it until 1998 When Adrian Newey joined them and the Mercedes Engine also helped and then Ferrari were still developing. In the last 12 years McLaren was fast but wasnt reliable, yes they had the car to Challenge Schummy over one lap but not a whole race.

Since Lulu came into F1 McLaren have done quite well in the constructors championship.

2007 - clear winners but booted out for cheating.
2008 - close second
2009 - third
2010 - close second
2011 - second

But that's not good enough for Lulu and the cheerleaders, the only way he can win championships is with the best car and that's exactly what you lot claim makes Vettel and Button's championships less valuable!

Sensible F1 fans will know that not only Lewis but Alonso also has been a victim of Adrian Newey and his teams engineering performances at Red Bull. Poor old Alonso has not won a WDC since 2006 and with three seasons in the most successful team in f1 history it looks as though Adrian Newey's recent upgrades are about to deny the most complete driver another chance to be a wdc yet again.

As for Lewis we know his record breaking debut season records wont be touched in our life time making him according to a great 3xwdc the greatest debutant ever while slaying a 2xwdc and we wont mention 2008 as it is already known as last lap Hammi.

2009 Honda and the RB5 were the dominant car 2010 Lewis has to take some of the blame for that season which all started to go wrong at Monza but still was in contention come the final race of that season. 2011 the RB7 super car blew everyone away and this season Mclaren has cost Lewis and themselves the WDC.

Mclaren really hasn't been that great since their honda/malboro days, even when they had the fastest car in 2005 with montoya and kimi it was worthless in terms of reliability, when lewis won in the championship in 08 the ferrari was really the better car that season...
Can't blame the guy for leaving mclaren it's not like he's moving from redbull (who really had the best car by far the last 2 years) to another team...
You can't keep ridding past glory for ever mclaren just isn't what it used to be for the last 3 years they were having some of the slowest pit stops among the top teams that really says somethin in my opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they hold the record for the fastest pitstop this season?

They also hold the record for the longest pitstop this season at a point they made the HRT pit crew look great, even changing NASCAR wheels looked faster
