F1 » Alonso: I’d have taken six-point deficit in February

Fernando Alonso insists that no-one at Ferrari is giving up on the chance of landing the 2012 F1 world championship, even if Red Bull appears to have the performance edge.

Newey should make sure he provides Vettel with a car significantly faster car than the one Alonso drives - they need it if they want to beat him (unless Lotus drivers take him out that is).

Somebody needs to shut this guy up as he talks FAR too much recently trying to make out he is all that and intelligent. He has always had the car to challenge this year, Alonso is just average without his beloved mass dampers! He isn't even in Jenson's or Webber's league let alone Vettel, FACT!

Mr consistent, Fernando has shown that consistency is key. I do hope however that Ferrari are able to give him the tools he needs to take the fight all the way. Last thing we need is a one way dominance of the last four. Realistically it's between Fernando and Sebastian with everyone else either being a hero or villain in the eyes of these two respective drivers and their teams.

Honestly, I am huge fan of Alonso. I also respect Vettel. He is fast and a good driver. However I feel Alonso really deserves this WDC. Only 2 DNF's not caused by him and honestly he has been driving like a master with his bi-polar car. He deserves his 3rd WDC. No other driver compares at the moment for this crown.

@Alonso talks too much.
I regret tackling such a ridiculous post, but here goes. The ban on 'beloved mass dampers' is still an outright fraud, with the stewards and FIA split. Just mho, I agree that they were not movable aero and Renault was shafted, while Ferrari was gifted.
