Alonso,has said he is not racing Vettel but is racing Newey something RGB has been saying for a while with some on here calling him a nut just glad the most complete driver in F1 seems to see what sensible F1 fans can see.

Surely it is time for Newey to be knighted.

So according to most people here, Alonso is just like Valentino Rossi whereas Vettel is like Stoner, winning thanks to the best car and tyres/bike. So why doesnt this ligic apply tio Senna who had the best Williams (by the way Frenzen, Hill and Villeneuve looked phenomenal on the same car for years, same should apply to Michael Schumacher too on the record breaking Ferrari, Hakkinen on Mclan Mercedes (even Coulthatd looked great on that car). How about mentioning that the hailed Aloso had the best car in 2007 but was outraced by Hamilton, then the very Hamilton lost to Raikonen amd the following year Hamilton almost lost to Massa who's anything but phenomenal. So the others are good coz they are talented whereas Vettel is jut a Robot on Neweys spaceship. Remember this guy won his first race on a toro rosso, not on a Mclaren Mercedes

@Dush,

Get your facts right "So why doesnt this ligic apply tio Senna who had the best Williams (by the way Frenzen, Hill and Villeneuve looked phenomenal on the same car for years".... Senna doesn't have the same car, when Senna arrived at Williams, the Active suspension was banned by the time Ayrton slot in the Williams F1 car. The reason why people are still skeptical about the ability of Vettel is because as far as anyone can remember, if he can't get pole on a Saturday, it's guaranteed that he will either finish badly on a Sunday or retire. He hasn't yet won below the 2nd row of the grid, meaning if the car is not perfect, he can't win, plain and simple. In contrast to Alonso, he won in Valencia from 10th place, and won in Germany while holding off the fast Mclaren of Jenson. Vettel's win is always lead from the start, make a gap and win.. a boring boring way to win.

@Dush
Myth number one, LH outraced Fernando. Never, LH 109 points, Fernando 109 with a marshal appointed by FIA at the FA box because uncle Ron was sabotaging FA every single race, tires..., on and on. Rod destroyed the most promising racer of all times. A racer that came from the bacl alleys of racing like MS
Vetel wining with toro roso, you know enough about F1 to know that at that time it was allowed to run with chassis Red bull and different engine. FIA after forbid the modification.
So please do not be a troll.
We ALL here know who has the faster car, and who of ALL Grid has the most talent, your affinities are different. I drive a mercedes from Toronto to Montreal and you a Toyota tercel... Please tell me who arrives first
Saludos desde Toronto

These fanbois don't make any sense.
Good lord fanboi, Sebastian Vettel is REWRITING all the records in F1. Even the illustrious Michael Schumacher is in trouble in the record books!
And you want to say that Vettel isn't a great driver?
Remember, If we had 2 Mark Webbers driving the Bulls, Then Red Bull wouldn't have ANY driver's championships.

ptolomy. dont try to understand the fanboys! i gave up ages ago. suffice it to say, they tend to idolise ONE driver, and try to manipulate stats to prove that their idol is better than anyone else.
these are not fans of motorsport or f1 in particular.

yeah, there are combinations that create a wdc, and such combos have always existed. put the best designer with the best team and the best driver, and you will win the wdc. it happened in the senna days, in the schumi days and even in the stewart days.

just enjoy f1 for what it is.

@ cknopp
Just to bring to your attention you are exactly the same type of 'fanboi' as those that you so vitriolically attack here from dawn to dusk on a daily basis -just excepting that your own form of blind adooration is for Vettel- so its pointless and can we all stop the attacks and talk about the technical instead??

@az

Its funny, but i like Raikkonen. I completely avoid his topics so i cannot fall into the fanboi zone.

Maybe you can try to avoid topics that remove your objectivity in the future.
