F1 » Button: Thrilling start, disappointing race

Jenson Button admitted that his 2012 F1 Indian Grand Prix had ended up being rather disappointing, but that the 'unbelievably hard-fought' start had been a real highlight.

MW is very thrilled that McLaren has scored points in every race since Jenson joined them. Forgetting that, in all his gushing praise, another driver had something to do with it as well. Well, if scoring points is his goal, he doesn't aim very high.

It might have been thrilling Jenson but you lost a position so i wouldnt be calling it thrilling but rather disappointing start and finish.

You proving more and more that you are just an average driver in a fast car who gets lucky once awhile IE in rain and does Brawn's car with its double diffuser ring a bell?

A rather disappointing start?

Were you watching the same race as everyone else?

That was a cracking start with a great battle between 3 great drivers - which, correct me if I'm wrong, Button won.

And please, tell me how it makes you lucky if you are a great driver in the rain or tricky conditions?

One of the reasons they say Senna was so great was because of how good he was in the wet. Now you're saying that being good in the wet just makes you lucky.

Yeah right pal.

Theirs a big difference between a Wet race and changeable conditions, Jenson is xtremely good when the condition is changing but in an extreme wet Jenson struggles to finish in points.

Afternoon all
It was interesting watch Sky's coverage of the start of the race. They were fixated with Lulu and Alonso but didn't even mention Buttons part in the move. Not great broadcasting!

Bob, He gets lucky in some rainy conditions due to him risking tyre choices, and getting lucky with his timing.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must be out of your mind to campre him to Senna! It must the effect of that bottle of Wisky mate hahahaha

So tell me, since mr. Button is so great how come he never was picked by top teams through out his career and ended up with Honda? Hes an average driver and no better than that. Another Coulthard ie all talk and no show.

He started today 4th and ended the race 5th, and in a Mclaren. The guy just cant deliver and you gotta love his talk about championships. He said it last just a few races ago. Hes all talk and no show. He reminds me of Coulthard. If he was that great then how come he won 6/7 in 2009 with Brawn then crawled over the line at the end? He failed to win in the 2nd half of the season in a car that was far more supurior than the rest! errrrrrrrr average driver

Oh, here we go again - Jenson is just lucky. Really? Are you really going to go there? Honestly, don't you Hamilton fanboys ever get sick and tired of telling us how lucky Button is and how unlucky Hamilton is?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I want to go to the casino with Jenson Button - according to Hamilton fanboys, he's the luckiest man in the history of the world!

Are you having problems reading?

I didn't say he was Senna or trying to compare the two. What I said was, one of the reasons people thought Senna was so good was his ability in the wet, yet this is something you hold against Button.

So the Brawn was far more superior than the rest at the end of the season was it? Really? Did you actually watch the 2009 season?
