F1 » Massa sixth after 'very tough fight' with Kimi

Felipe Massa: I ended up doing over half the race without being able to go flat out and I can assure you, it was definitely not easy, because Kimi was always very close to me...

Sound like Ferrari missed calculated Massa's fuel load
I guess they had him running a light fuel load.Methinks
a little too light. Massa was able to save fuel and hold off
Kimi, surprised that I was..Someone at Ferrari got it wrong,
and again Massa is the Goat!..

So will Massa be starting from the back of the grid like Hamilton when he didn't make it back to the pits because of low full load? Oh no sorry, Massa drives for Ferrari!

@PDM do you know anything about race?? Massa can keep kimi behind as slow as he wants because he knew that kimi cant pass him on the two long straights as his DRS top speed is equal to massa's Kers boost straightline speed.

310km/h vs 320km/h..........what a joke.

The circuit lack passing spot other than the long straights, and DRS ruined everything.

A lot more than u think u know. Hi couldn't overtake massa because of ferarri's superior straight line speed. I clearly remember once massa did have around 30% kers available but kimi couldn't pass by with DRS open

Felipe was showing strog pace for the first 15-20 laps, and then had to conserve fuel for the rest of the race. Sixth is a very good result when you can't drive at full speed for 70% of the race, so well done Felipe.

as munish says, flip did not have the updates of ferdi! ferdi had a new diffuser, but as there was only one, flip had to make do with the less advanced unit. so, he did do a great job in holding off kimi. it was amazing to see that the ferrari was as fast as a drs using lotus.

Felipe's points enabled the team to slightly extend the advantage over McLaren in the constructors standings, pretty good team effort from an older spec car. The team will need him to be racing the Red Bulls with the updates.
