There is NO WAY IN THE WORLD that Kimi can be described as overrated. He may be many things, like quiet, monosyllabic or introverted. But overrated??? Nah! I don't buy that.

If worldwide F1 fans and Team Lotus had been told that after two full years away from F1, Kimi would be running 3rd at this stage of the season, ahead of Hamilton, Webber and Button, they would have taken it with both hands! And there lies your answer.

That i can't answer you. i have no knowledge of their agreement. the only things i know are the ones they report on the news and F1 sites.
but i will speculate that from both parties lotus has much to gain in keeping kimi than the other way around. we can see on that this year bulk of lotuses points were scored by Kimi. while on the other hand kimi has enjoyed his most reliable car in his whole career. if i am correct this is the only time that he finishes a season with out the car having mechanical trouble.
