Why would he leave? as long as newey is there and Renault produce a decent reliable V6 then he'll have as much chance to win as he will in a McLaren or a Ferrari.

Ferrari, Red Bull as well as Sebastian Vettel himself have absolutely unequivocally rebuffed this rumour, whose source has never been revealed by anyone. Probably because there never was a source to cite.

And F1-media call this "down-playing". No wonder F1 news are considered so dreadfully unreliable.

olli. even with ferrari and seb stating categorically that there is no hidden contract, that will not stop the gossip mongers claiming "that there is but they dont want to talk about it".

Between the rumour mill and often without source low level journalism the F1 press pump out. It is hard to believe anything.

I would personally not be surprised if tomorrow we hear this to be rebuffed, confirmed or Vettel is to retire to become a landscape gardener.

@EnRiCo47

Well as often with these stories it will be for "a new challenge" and as a born racer he will want to be "competitive".

So I expect his prices to be too!

The media so desperately wants to get some catching headlines because there isn't much news in the driver market now.
All these rumours only started after the Hamilton-Mercedes move was confirmed, so me thinks once that deal was done and dusted, the media can't get anotehr good story so they create this.
