Yes Sutil, come back and deal with the overrated one like you did in 2011, as the only people who seem to rate him are the likes of DC,JYS and McNish. I wonder what they all have in common?

Love it that Mclaren picked a real aggressive and talented driver to replace Lewis and did not listen to EJ and co hype.

@RGS/RGB

Considering Paul was a Rookie he give Sutil a decent run for his money and out qualified him for good few times, Sutil scored 42 points and Paul 29.

I'd admit De-Rista hasn't had a great 2nd half to the season but he's highly rated by Merc and they know a lot more about racing than you do.

TAZ, there is a difference between overrated and rated. I do rate Di Resta as a level headed steady workman but there are drivers who i believe are more deserving of a top team drive, and being British should not be a prerequisite of getting a top drive as some Sky and BBC pundits seem to believe.

And as for Paul being a rookie, i'm going to have to apologise, as I'm a supporter of a driver who in his rookie year helped banish one of the true F1 greats from Mclaren so i should not really expect Paul to achieve a similar task in his rookie year driving against a also ran.

BTW TAZ i detect some sort of patriotic undertone in your comments should my first post have read DC,JYS,AM and TAZ?

blublz, yes i do fear for Lewis we all of heard about repeat offending and who is to say what could happen if Sutil was to lose it again. But i do hope if he is the new driver for F/India in 2013 he will carry on the good work that is being carried out by Hulkenberg at that team.

That's like me saying "I detect an anti-Scottish agenda in your tone"....it's a stupid statement.

I am Scottish but it doesn't mean I can't dislike a or like a Scottish driver and express my opinion. My opinion is that Paul has potential, he's gone through a lot of cr4p with his management issues and that's bound to have been a distraction, also giving up his car on Fridays has not helped.

There's 5 points between them, De-Rista has scored a 4th place and they are neck and neck in qualifying so although he's not had a great season it's still not too shabby.

@RGB - you make it sound like creating team infighting and banishing a "great" is a good thing. Obviously Lewis needs to be on a one driver team because he sure doesn't work well with others.

Why do these boards have to take such a personal tone all the time? Can't we all just get along? Besides this is all mute as it is only a matter of time before mallya is discovered for what he really is and the finances for this team dry up. The sauber team is not exactly a step up, but they are more financially secure than Force India which is why Hulkenberg's management team (Schumacher's old manager) is pushing to get him that seat. I would not be surprised if this team does not exist in 2014 and is renamed by a new team buyer.

Mark as much as i welcome and respect your views i feel you are talking tosh.

Lewis has been at Mclaren since 2007 and as far as i know he has only fallen out with one driver, a driver who tried to blackmail the team principal in trying to have a rookies car sabotaged because he did not realise what talent the rookie possessed, a driver who had the cheek to sugest that employing a rookie could compromise Mclarens attempt on the 2007 WCC, a driver who when could not pass a rookie at the USA GP of 2007 started to shake his fist and radioing Ron Dennis to tell the rookie to let him pass, and when told by the team principal that you have to race fairly the reining 2xwdc became a team disruptor.

This guy can only work with a team if he is made
