I agree with Pole Position. M (T)witmarsh has been chirping the same story for the past three years. How did McLaren drop the ball so badly thie year after starting as well as they did? McLaren's decline led to Hamilton switching to Mercedes... I can hardly blame him. Who wants to go down on a ship that has been sinking at the end of the year for three years now? I wish McLaren luck next year... they'll need it.

Sorry Jenson but Maclaren Had a realistic chance of winning the drivers championship with Lewis but Whitmarsh ignored this fact and favored Jenson and coupled with his lack of leadership resulting in messed up pit stop(for lewis)and race stratergies. Yes thats right you made it easy for the rivals with yours balls up leadership. I am not surprised Lewis has made his decision to leave

You lot all make me laugh.

Whitmarsh has only had the job for 3 years, and you want to crucify him because he hasn't won a wcc yet? And all in the 3 years that redbull has been totally dominant.

Get a grip!
You all carry on like Ron Dennis is the saviour, but please remind me how many years ago did he win the wcc for McLaren????

If I remember correctly, the last significant thing RD gave McLaren was a $100M fine!

Have to agree a bit with bob the Hammi hater. Witmarsh like every other team principal and top f1 driver have been a victim of a great F1 team in Red Bull who have dominated since Whitmarsh began as team principal 2009 until now.

I just don't agree with his comments regards the Lewis ,Button and Alonso battle, Red bull would have won that race whether the first lap battle between the three took place or not. The Mclaren car has problems in switching on its tyres compared to the RB8 hence Button setting fastest laps when the race was theoretically over.

bob. dont go on about a 100m fine. it was initially reduced to $50m and more recently macca have been able to have tax returned on it, so it is probably around a total fine of $20m. which is chicken feed to macca.

indy, macca have no problem with the tyres, but they do have a problem with their drivers, or at least, one of them! in case you had not noticed, practically all the cars set their fastest lap at the very end. this is due to car being in its lightest mode. and some, like the bulls were cruising.
