Lewis Hamilton admits it could take 'months and months, maybe 12-14 months', for Mercedes to turn its fortunes around

Sorry, but LOGIC and FACTS dictate that the driver/rider has little in the way of development of their car/bike. Rossi at Ducati shows this, Schumacher at Mercedes shows this. The myth is BUSTED.

Rob, “all cars will be nearly the same for next year” all cars are always nearly the same, the only difference between the cars will always be being nearly the same but not the same.
The teams that have a better car then Mercedes this year will have an easier job improving their already good/fast car for next year than Mercedes having to produce a new car and catch up and that out to lose them same momentum/concentration from on the all new 2014 design. .
In December I am going to see Lulu in person as he is coming to town.

The problem here is that Mercedes are not going to build a new car for just 2013 (one year) only, because in 2014 everyone has to build a new car from scratch. So why throw all those resources into next years car, knowing that yo have to build a new car in 2014. The fact is that this years car rolls into next year which means RBR would probably blow everyone away.

lulumerc. ross and nobby have both stated that it will be a new car for next year. they have decided rather late as there will now be a short lead time.

I do hope that Merc somehow sort their s**t out. There is no guarantee that they will though. As other posters have stated, car manufacturers of similar magnitude have tried and failed. And the RB/MS dream team seems to have failed completely in bringing the team forward at all. I am not sure what extra Lewis could provide in improving the car and the team, I guess only time will tell and I wish him luck in the coming seasons, cos I think he is going to need quite a lot of it.
