so Alonso's game plan is for redbull to crash/ have a mechanical failure? how about Ferrari improving their cars. wishing bad luck to happen for another team is something I would expect from a delusional fan and not a pro racer. don't stoop that low ferdi

Looking back at qualifying in India, Massa qualified 'half a car' about a tenth behind Alonso, the potential to qualify higher was definately there. The press stirring however started when Fry's observations were construed as an attack on the drivers, something that the team has gone overboard in denying, perhaps Helmut Marko started the story.

Ferrari's only strength has been its abilities to work the tires well, that's the only reason they are where they are this year, the car does not have the pace of the teams that surpassed it in qualifying.

@nelsonia - I think that you need to read the article again. Fernando said that they need to put more pressure on Red Bull so that they can capitalize on any problems that they may have, not that they were just hoping for a RB failure.

tyre... sorry, but the ferrari was affected quite badly by tyres, in the first half of the season. how many times did we see alonso in a good position, and then falling back rapidly as the tyres went off, whilst other cars did not have the same problems?

Where in the copy did Ferando say he wanted the Redbulls to crash, he was just pointing out that by putting pressure on the Redbulls, parts can brake, in this instance being Kers, he was referencing Marks Kers problem. Come to think of it, how come Mark is the driver at Redbull with the Kers problems, interesting question that one?

wanadoit, how come that vettel is the driver at red bull with alternator problems? and for your info, seb has had kers problems in the first part of the season, and a number of other cars have also had kers problems. oh, what a conspiracy!!!!

Alonso is the best driver at the moment and has done very little wrong this season, he deserves to be a three time champ more than Vettle.

Vettle will probably win it next year when Adrian Newey designs the best car on the grid.

again, like he has at Williams and Mclaren previously. It takes a talented and skilled team and driver to better Mr Newey and only an above driver to be a WC in one of his cars Jacques Villeneuve, Damon Hill.

Great drivers have also driven his car and been dominant e.g. Prost, Mansell and Hakinen.

Vettle needs to go up against Newey to be considered great
