This particular 'Wizard of Oz' possesses a supernatural ability that enable him to make his version of the fastest car on the track look merely mediocre

When the car wasn't the Newey super special it is now Webber was pretty evenly matched with Seb, even winning one more race. Now the car is very good again, Webber once again isn't able to extract the most from it. Maybe the team knew they'd only have a shot if 1 driver won 4 in a row as opposed to both drivers winning 2. It's possible. Alternatively Mark just isn't up to it when everything is on the line.

As far as playing 2nd fiddle goes: I remember 2005 when McLaren had the fastest car by a country mile at the end of the season and Kimi could win the championship if he finished 1st and JPM 2nd in the remaining races. Somehow JPM managed to spin a few times and get into trouble...I'm sure Mark is looking forward to help his teammate beat him to the title...Again...for the 3rd time...in a row..,

If Webber has an opportunity to pass Vettel cleanly, he's going to take it. He might not do it 2-3 laps from the end of the race, but if it's earlier, you'd better believe he's going to race for the win...and that's how it should be.
